Thanksgiving this week, I’ve got one thing on my mind:

Family. Not just my family – my lovely wife Dawn and our two kids – but
families across Maryland and the country.

I’ll be honest: These last few months have been tough. Between the
government shutdown, workers missing out on paychecks, or folks’ food
assistance being put in limbo, too many households have been put under
real strain.

But here’s what gives me hope: When things get hard, Maryland shows what
it means to take care of one another.

We’ve stepped up – protecting workers through the shutdown, keeping vital
services running, and pushing back against policies that make life harder
for everyday people.
