I wanted to write to you today about something I’ve been thinking about a lot.

In this race, I’m the only woman and the only person of color. If elected, I’d be the first Latina to represent Pennsylvania in Congress – that’s a huge milestone.

I know in this day and age, there’s a lot of talk about how “representation matters.” It really DOES matter. As an immigrant, a mom, and someone who’s had to work multiple jobs to make ends meet, I often feel like I’m ignored by my representatives.

I’m running to change that.
