John,

As a born-and-raised Eau Claire kid and a fifth-generation Wisconsinite, I grew up around a dinner table where the rule was simple: when you see something wrong, you stand up and do something about it.

And right now, too many of our neighbors are struggling with something no family should ever face — not knowing where their next meal will come from.

That's why this Thanksgiving week, I'm raising funds for Feed My People Food Bank in Eau Claire to help support the community that raised me. Will you join me in making sure every family has the food they need this holiday season?

Food is the foundation that makes everything else possible. It helps kids learn in school. It helps adults stay focused at work. It keeps seniors healthy and active. It builds stronger, more resilient communities.

Feed My People rescues donated food from manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and growers — food that might otherwise be thrown away — and moves to more than 250 hunger-relief programs across West Central Wisconsin. From local food pantries to meal sites, shelters, and direct-service programs, they make sure families get the support they need when they need it.

This is what Wisconsin looks like when we take care of one another. But they can't do it alone.

So this Thanksgiving week, if you're able, will you help ensure every family in our community has food on the table?

Thank you,

Sarah
