I moved to Oregon in 2007 from Pennsylvania. An activist for the environment since Earth Day 1970, I was excited to live in a state that values the health or our earth. I quickly became aware that many people are apathetic when it comes to protecting our earth. Standing on street corners with signs, visiting my senators and representatives, writing letters and making telephone calls to legislators to create awareness of what we are doing to our mother earth became my passion. Eighteen years later and I am still at it. Now I have grandchildren and I grieve for their future. We cannot give up. We must continue to teach, preach and march for our earth. She is all we have.
