He’s doubling down. Trump posted this late last night:

He wants us jailed and hung for “SEDITION AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.”

But read that post one more time, because there is something he doesn’t mention. My colleagues and I didn’t tell the military to disobey Trump's orders. We reminded them what they were told in training: You have an obligation to refuse to follow illegal orders.

The thing is, we know this isn’t about the video. It’s not about what we said. This is about intimidation, the suppression of speech, and Trump’s ultimate goal of eliminating his political opposition.

Donald Trump wants complete, unchecked power. He wants to fire or jail anyone who disagrees with him, but he can’t fire me. I work for the people of Arizona, and under their orders, I will continue to defend the Constitution and our democracy. It really is that simple.

Look — I don’t want you to worry about me. You’ve got enough on your plate as it is. I’m not intimidated by Trump, and I’m not going to stop speaking out against him. You can be sure of that.

But if you’ve been waiting for the right time to make a donation, this is it. I’ve got no idea what comes next, and we’re preparing for any possible outcome right now.
