I’m taking a quick break from call time (with my dog Poppy curled up by my
side) to give you a quick campaign update.

I have to spend more time than I’d like on the phone fundraising, because
it’s very expensive to run a statewide campaign in California. We have to
reach voters in every corner of the state with some of the most expensive
media markets in the country.

As much as I enjoy time with Poppy, I’d rather be on the campaign trail
meeting with voters and hearing their stories. That’s why I’m looking to
