Dear John,

<p>As we step into Thanksgiving week, I&rsquo;ve been thinking a lot about two things: gratitude and how quickly time slips by. I&rsquo;m thankful for my family, my church, and the CitizenGO team that stands shoulder to shoulder with me every single day. Their courage, <em>your</em> courage, has carried me through more moments this year than I can count. I&rsquo;m truly grateful.</p> <p>This season also brings back memories of my grandmother, who went to Jesus in 2017. I can&rsquo;t believe she's been gone that long. We called her <strong>Monie.</strong> She taught me how to make an entire Thanksgiving meal from scratch. Turkey, dressing, pie crusts, and of course, the family&rsquo;s secret pecan pie recipe.</p> <p>But there is one thing I have never been able to recreate. Her holiday green Jell-O. If you have never tried it, don&rsquo;t cringe. It was delicious. I remember crushed pineapple, pecans, and possibly cream cheese. Ever since we lost her, that dish has been the one missing piece of our Thanksgiving table.</p> <p>So this week, I am curious. Did your grandmother or your aunts make something similar? Do you remember the recipe? If so, I would truly love to hear it. It would mean a lot to bring that memory back to life.</p> <p>As we enter the holiday season, I want you to know that I am praying for you. May your home be filled with peace. May your table be filled with joy. And may your heart be filled with the kind of gratitude that draws you back to fond memories and close to those who matter most.</p>
