Will Walmart require shoppers to wear masks nationwide?

During an interview with Bloomberg, Walmart’s CEO Doug McMillon commented on the need for customers to wear masks. McMillon said masks are currently required in about 3,700 of its more than 5,000 U.S. locations "where either the governor or someone else has mandated it." Walmart doesn’t have a nationwide mandate but "that's obviously something that's on our minds," McMillon said.

Quick-service and full-service sales continue to diverge

As we continue to keep on eye on restaurant recovery, the NPD Group has new data that shows customer transactions at major U.S. restaurant chains declined by 10 percent in the week ending on July 5 compared to the same period a year ago. The data did show an improvement over last week’s decline of 14 percent.
