John,
I’ve always been grounded in my faith, my family, and my community. As a husband, father, ACTS retreat leader, and now candidate for Congress, these values have shaped how I view the world and carried me through challenging moments.
It’s why I’m inspired to see faith leaders across the country remind us of something essential: our values don’t stop at our front door. They extend to every neighbor, every worker, every family trying to build a better life.
While some politicians weaponize religion to go after the most vulnerable, I choose to stand up for policies that keep families together, keep workers safe, and treat people with dignity, not in spite of my faith but because of it.
But living out these values, especially in public life, takes community. It takes people who refuse to let the political noise drown out our compassion, fairness, and the belief that every human being is deserving of dignity. It takes all of us to stand up and build something better.
