Last night I was at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to give this lecture, which I wanted to share with you.
Today, I’m back on the ground in North Carolina, which has been in the news this week because Greg Bovino brought a surge of federal agencies here to terrorize immigrant communities. He called it “Charlotte’s Web,” but a pastor down in Charlotte said that, in response, the community has built a “web of love.”
This web is what we call a moral fusion coalition.
We are committed to stand with our immigrant neighbors and with neighbors whose healthcare and SNAP have been cut to continue weaving together a moral movement that can reclaim the tools of our government.
Today at 3pm ET, we are holding a press conference to announce plans for Moral Mondays in North Carolina and across the nation this coming Monday, November 24th, and a Mass Moral Meeting in Charlotte to stand in solidarity with the web of love that continues to grow.
You can watch livestream at 3pm ET or replay afterwards at this link.
