Believe it or not, it’s a crucial tool for the campaign! I spend hours doing call time, which is exactly what it sounds like — calling up supporters, talking with them, and asking for their contribution to keep this campaign moving forward.
The long hours can be tough, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
John, every other candidate in this race has taken money from corporate PACs. They’ve decided it’s worth compromising their values for a massive campaign check.
That’s why our political system is broken. Too many politicians operate that way, and that’s why when they’re asked simple questions, like “Do you support Medicare for All?” they reply with a non-simple answer skirting around the issue.
You can tell whose pocket they’re in when you see how they treat issues like healthcare and corporate greed.
I refuse to go down that path. Our campaign is 100% fueled by the people, because the best way to earn trust is by building a movement that fights for all of us, not corporate PACs.
