I’m running because I believe that the Attorney General should stand between Texans and anyone who would exploit them — whether it’s a corporation or a politician.
I didn’t come to public service the traditional way. I grew up the son of a VA psychologist and a social worker. Watching my mom and dad devote their lives to helping veterans and families in crisis, John, I learned that service is not a slogan — it’s a calling.
I've spent decades working as an attorney, a small business owner, and problem-solver, working with people at their best and their worst. Those experiences taught me something simple: the law should be a force for stability, clarity, and fairness and not a means to pursue personal gain or political revenge.
In 2018, I flipped Texas Senate District 16, a seat Republicans held for over 30 years. Since then, I’ve passed over 130 bills, leading on access to health insurance, child health, consumer protection, grid security, government transparency, and basic fairness in the law.
If you believe Texas deserves an Attorney General who works for the people — not donors, not political bosses, not Donald Trump — I'm asking for your support: Please donate now — $3 or more — and help fuel our team to victory.
With gratitude,
