Friend,

Every kid looks up to their dad. I was no different. My dad is my hero.

HARRIS FOR CONGRESS

As a young boy, my dad, Everette Harris, was orphaned. After graduating from high school, he joined the military to fight the Germans in World War II as a tail gunner.

Things were going well until his ninth mission, when his plane was shot down and he parachuted down to be captured safely by German forces.

My dad endured the final few months of the war in a Nazi prison camp.

My dad was supposed to die in that camp. Hitler ordered the murder of the American POWs in the final days of the war, but thankfully, the German soldiers never carried out that order. If it weren't for those German soldiers defying the Führer's orders, I would have never been born.

When he returned home, he started at college but dropped out after marrying my mom. He went to work in a manufacturing job and provided a good life for my mom, my four siblings, and me.

My dad is my hero because he lived out the American Dream. He started from nothing, served his country, and built a better life for his children to follow.

When I decided to run for political office, he gave me one piece of advice: "Be careful."

But I told him that he was the reason for my decision. I wanted to follow in my dad's footsteps to serve our country. While my service is different, I felt called to serve my country and fight for her future just as my dad did.

That conversation happened over a decade ago, and unfortunately, my dad did not live to see me sworn into office. But I know he's still proud of me.

My dad's memory keeps me grounded in my service. My dad's memory keeps me honest about my character, consistency, and courage to continue fighting for what's right.

But America is at a MAJOR CROSSROAD. Democrats are trying everything they can to flip Congress BLUE and DISMANTLE our America-First Agenda. And they've circled my seat as a prime target.

I'm not asking you to give up everything to help me. I'm just asking you to chip in $5 to give my re-election campaign the resources I need to continue serving and honoring my dad's memory.

CHIP IN $5

When my dad was in the military, he relied on his team to survive. Well, I'm relying on my team to stay in Congress and continue serving you.

Please, if you can afford to, contribute $5 or more before midnight.

Thank you,
Mark Harris
