We're Giving Oklahomans a Choice

Did you know that only about 1 in 4 Oklahomans voted last year? We're bottom five in voter participation, in part because so many of our races are uncontested. Last year,  only about 1 in 3 seats in the Oklahoma State Legislature actually had an election in November!

We've changed that - we've already recruited double the candidates we had in 2024, with months to go until the filing deadline. That's a sign of the renewed energy among Oklahoma Democrats, and our determination to make 2026 a breakout year.

We've met with folks around the State about running for office. And because of the robust infrastructure we've been building, we can offer candidates help launching a "campaign in a box" for a local race for as little as $500.

Our State and our democracy are better when more people step forward and participate. So we're doing everything we can to lower the barriers and help our neighbors step up and step forward. 

But it can't happen without your help. These candidates need robust support, the kind only OKDEMS can deliver. As we build out a statewide campaign for victory, we rely on generous contributions from Oklahomans who want to see their state change direction.
