The classic signs that the holidays are here! And since the news cycle never stops hitting new lows, we’ll give our cute little glasses a clink and settle in for whatever the hell is happening in the abortionsphere.

Menopause Math: Turns Out Patience Has an Expiration Date
RFK and Co. hit new levels of misogyny by claiming that “death and divorce” are symptoms of menopause during their big announcement that the FDA is removing the black-box warning on hormone replacement therapy, which warn its use could cause cancer and stroke. 

Don’t get us wrong—we love to see expanded treatment opportunities for women’s healthcare, but some of their statements are getting some major side-eye from us… like listing divorce as a symptom of menopause.  While we of course are going to trust the actual experts who say that claim is “pretty ridiculous,” we did come up with one rationale that could make sense. Hear us out: Woman is married for 20 years → Menopause hits → Woman no longer has the patience to put up with another 20 years of bullshit → Woman gets divorced. 

See? The math is mathin’. We’re officially Team Menopause.

When An Abortion Ban Is Soooo Bad Even The Biggest Assholes Say “Hard Pass”
South Carolina, (a state that already bans abortion after six weeks of pregnancy), shot down a bill that would have redefined fertilized eggs as human embryos, birth control as abortifacients, and charged abortion seekers for murder—with a punishment of up to 30 years in prison, and no exceptions for rape or incest. If you can believe it, four of the six Republicans on the legislative subcommittee refused to even vote on the bill, knowing it was too extreme.

While this is definitely a win we’ll celebrate, the proposal isn’t dead and this is a grim reminder of what the pro-abortion movement has been warning about for ages: their end goal has ALWAYS been to get rid of abortion, IVF, and birth control and toss anyone in jail who disagrees. It’s only a matter of time before more bills pop up and the fight begins again.
