John, this is Congressman Chris Deluzio. Donald Trump just
called for my death and arrest.

He not only called for my arrest – he went even further, calling for
violence against me and several of my colleagues who also served the
country before our time in Congress.

Why? Because we spoke a simple truth: no service member is forced to
follow an illegal order. The oath to the Constitution is sacred, one that
I first swore as a 17-year old at the Naval Academy, and binds us all to
the rule of law.

I will not be intimidated by Donald Trump and his calls for violence
against me.

[ [link removed] ]If you’re willing to support a Navy veteran who believes in the rule of
law, in the Constitution, in the promise of democracy – then I’m asking
you, right now, to step up and help me fight back by splitting a
contribution between the Progressive Change Campaign Committee and me.

I took the oath in the Navy – and I took it again when I was elected to
Congress.

That oath doesn’t expire – and I’ll be damned if Donald Trump, a man who
tried to overthrow our government on January 6, 2021, tells me how to
serve this country.

So Trump can threaten me, call for my arrest, and even try to incite
violence against me, but he can’t scare me into abandoning my oath.
