These individuals range from permanent residents and relatives of Canadians to citizens of Canada, including Usama Ali, an alleged Hamas financier who is sanctioned by the U.S. government. The report underscores that Hamas is not only a danger to Israelis and Palestinians, but a threat to Canadians. Just last month, European authorities arrested five suspects in a coordinated operation that disrupted Hamas-linked plots targeting civilians in Berlin and other cities. And over the past two years, pro-Hamas supporters and extremists have taken to Canadian streets – glorifying “martyrs,” radicalizing youth, inciting violence, and harassing families in their own neighbourhoods.
