Seasonal Overnight Shelters to Open on November 24th in Skagit County
Skagit County Public Health, in partnership with cities, Welcome Home Skagit, Family Promise of Skagit Valley, Friendship House-First Step Shelter, Community Action of Skagit County, Faith Community Fellowship Church, and Salem Lutheran Church, will offer overnight shelter to those in need of a warm, safe place to stay this winter season.
Three seasonal shelters will be open every night from November 24, 2025, to mid-March 2026. An additional shelter in Concrete, located at the East County Resource Center, operated by Community Action of Skagit County, will be activated temporarily during severe weather events.
Adults Seeking Shelter: Check in daily at 2:30 pm at Welcome Home Skagit Resource Center located at Salem Lutheran Church (2529 N. Laventure Road, Mount Vernon). Beds are available on a first-come, first-served basis, though every effort will be made to provide shelter for as many people as possible.
Pregnant and Parenting Families Seeking Shelter: Intake by Family Promise of Skagit Valley required. Please call (360) 854-0743 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm or (360) 764-1486 after 4:00 pm.
