Dear John,

I’m writing to share an important update about Mercy For Animals. After seven years of leadership, Leah Garcés’ time with Mercy For Animals has come to a close.

We are profoundly grateful for her service, vision and dedication to our mission.

As many of you know, I joined Mercy For Animals earlier this year as president. In alignment with our board and leadership team, I will now serve in the unified role of president and chief executive officer as we guide the organization into its next phase of focus, innovation and impact.

As part of this transition, we’re taking steps to position Mercy For Animals for the long term. We’re focusing our time and resources on the programs that have the strongest impact, so we can do even more of the work that helps animals most.
