To our friends and supporters,

Recently, we shared the challenges we encountered as more households in our community turned to us for food assistance during the pause in distribution of SNAP benefits. In the first two weeks of November, we saw a spike in families visiting our Food Pantry.

In just nine days, we served 725 households, about 75 more than usual, and welcomed 197 first-time visitors, nearly double what we typically see. This surge significantly impacted our nonperishable supplies and strained our ability to keep shelves stocked for those who need them.

And you showed up! Community members dropped off food donations and helped spread the word. Your response is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together. While SNAP benefits have been restored, demand for our food services remains high.

We are still accepting donations of nonperishable foods, including:
– Canned goods (meats, beans, vegetables, soups)
– Grains (rice, pasta, oatmeal)
– Cereal & shelf-stable milk

*Due to increased demand at our Food Pantry, we ask that you drop off ALL food donations on Monday mornings between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at 176 Lake Avenue, Manchester, NH.

Thank you for your continued support!

Your Impact–Debbie's Story
Because of you, Debbie and her children have a place to call home.

Barriers can make finding stable housing feel impossible. Debbie, a single mother of three, knows this struggle all too well.

After separating from her children’s father, an eviction and debts to former landlords followed her for years, leaving her and her children chronically homeless and couch surfing without stability.

That could still be her reality, but thanks to your support, Debbie and her children found safety in our family emergency shelter.

With stability at our shelter, she worked with her case manager to find a job, save for a security deposit, and create a plan to repay debt.

She enrolled her children in daycare, connected with local services, and rebuilt her confidence in parenting.

Because of you, Debbie believed in her ability to change, and she did. Today, her family has a safe place to sleep at night.

Leaving the shelter, Debbie shared, “For the first time I am truly proud of myself.” Her journey is a powerful that changes is possible through resilience, support, and generosity.

With your support, we can continue to break down the barriers that keep families from accessing safe, stable housing.

Will you give today to help more parents like Debbie build a better tomorrow?
