Senator Dick Durbin turns 81 tomorrow. He represents a generation that’s held onto political power for faaar too long.
We don’t get involved in federal races, but this moment matters because it reminds us of what’s possible. Durbin’s retirement is a rare opening, a chance for someone with real lived experience to step in: A teacher. A server. A renter. A community organizer. Someone who actually understands the daily reality of the people they serve.
