REP. MALCOLM KENYATTA URGED COLLEAGUES TO VOTE YES on a resolution to end the use of slavery as punishment for a crime.
But 11 MAGA lawmakers still voted AGAINST banning slavery.
They didn’t vote “no” on the morality of slavery. They voted “no” to protect:
• forced prison labor
• state budgets built on unpaid work
• punitive prison power
• a rigid conservative ideology
