These devastating words were said to a man named Mark right after he revealed — for the first time publicly — that he was conceived in rape.
Instead of recoiling, this brutal accusation spurred Mark to be even bolder in speaking about the value of his life.
I had the privilege of sitting down with Mark in one of Live Action’s recent “Face to Face” videos, and my heart broke when he shared his story.
We posted the clip on Instagram, and it went viral, with over 7 million views. His testimony is changing minds in a matter of minutes:
Mark said:
“The circumstances of my conception do not determine my worth as a human being. I have a right to life as much as anyone else does. The sins of my father do not fall on me.”
Reflecting on Mark’s testimony, I’m convinced that many people who are for abortion don’t value the lives of preborn babies because they don’t see the value in their own lives. They don’t recognize the intrinsic goodness of their existence, no matter the circumstance.
