Create a landscape quilt

The landscapes that surround us are made up of many different pieces. This exercise helps us break those pieces down and notice patterns within them.

Divide your paper into four sections. Label the top-left section A, the top-right B, the bottom-left C and the bottom-right L. Then, find a place outdoors where you can see for a distance. The letters each stand for a component of the landscape. Use the guide provided to sketch out the landscape in front of you and take note of any patterns you see.
