John, the sky is blue, water is wet, and special interests are willing to do what it takes to stop us from beating Citizens United.
Just to catch you up: the Montana Attorney General deemed our ballot initiative language “legally insufficient,” and The Supreme Court of Montana has ordered his office to respond to our appeal.
He did, and his response was to double down. Corporate special interests also shared their support of the AG. We have certainly ruffled some feathers!
This is disappointing, to be sure, but not shocking!
They know that our plan — the one that will successfully defeat Citizens United — will win if it’s put to a popular vote. New polling confirms their fear: 74% of Montanans (Democrats, Republicans, and independents) support our ballot initiative as we wrote it. We know there are forces at work to ensure this doesn't see the ballot.
When we win this appeal, the next step will be collecting signatures. Your donation today helps us wrap up this legal battle, take to the streets with our clipboards, and get 100,000 of our neighbors’ autographs to qualify for the 2026 ballot. Please, help us get to the doors with a donation today:

We’re not stopping until we defeat Citizens United. Thank you for being part of the team.
