We just elected two new Democratic governors, Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill! These victories are a loud and clear rejection of Donald Trump’s chaos and cruelty and a warning sign to Republicans in 2026.

But now we need to turn our focus to next November – when 36 governors’ races will be on the ballot.
|

Before I tell you about what lies ahead of us in 2026, if you’re already on board, will you please add your name to commit to voting for Dem govs?

Team, Donald Trump’s dangerous agenda is hurting people across the country. If the elections in VA and NJ showed us anything, it’s that Americans are tired of the chaos, incompetence, and cruelty we've seen over the past 10 months. We deserve leadership that sees all Americans as equal and worthy of respect.

As incoming Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, I’m proud that Dem govs are standing up, fighting back, and leading with empathy and humanity across the country. That’s the kind of leadership we need to fight for in every state, because real leadership brings people together and never turns us against one another.

But we can’t elect Dem govs alone, and this fight is going to take all of us. I need to know that you’re here with us as we prepare for some tough races nationwide next year. So please, will you confirm that you will be voting for Dem govs in your next election?

As a second-term governor, Andy Beshear has a long record of accomplishments. He restored voting rights to nearly 200,000 Kentuckians, secured low-cost health care for tens of thousands, had the three best economic development years on record, and had the lowest unemployment rate in state history. He won his first election by just 5,136 votes and his second by 5 percentage points because Kentuckians and folks across the country know that he will work every day to make Americans’ lives better – from jobs to infrastructure, health care, public education, and so much more.
Now he’ll serve as our DGA Chair in 2026 to continue the fight for progress by electing Democratic governors across the country.
