Friends: I need your help. The fight for fair representation in Texas isn’t over yet.
Just this week, a panel of federal judges blocked Greg Abbott and Donald Trump’s rigged congressional maps. It’s a huge win — but it’s just one step in a much bigger fight.
Our work in North Texas isn't done yet.
The Democratic candidate for TX Senate, Taylor Rehmet, received over 56,000 votes on Election Day. And because there were 2 Republicans fighting for the same spot, they split the vote, and no one emerged with a majority — and Taylor had a 10-point lead in the race.
That means Taylor has a runoff to win, something the media and pundits didn’t expect — and we have to get to work NOW, y’all!
Let me be crystal effin’ clear here too, folks: Taylor can win. He almost won against two Republicans with deep networks in the district. This is a real chance to flip a seat in the State Senate, and I wouldn’t ask you for help if I didn’t think we could pull out this win.
Taylor is an outstanding candidate, a union president, and a veteran. He is exactly who we need addressing the struggles of real, everyday Texans. He cares about things that affect you — lowering food costs, protecting public schools, and delivering affordable housing to all Texans.
We have just until the end of January before voters head back to the polls. Every. Day. Counts. Let’s make sure everyone knows the kind of leader Taylor will be in the Texas State Senate.
I’m proud to count myself a part of #TeamTaylor, and I hope you’ll join us as a contributor and member of his team: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/tdp_runoffer#TEAM-TAYLOR
Onward!
— Kendall
P.S. We also have a few local elections going to a runoff — and our motto is showing up for EVERY Dem across Texas. Your support right now helps us do just that.
