John,
Running for Congress requires lots of travel. Sometimes that travel takes me all the way to our nation’s capital. I was in Washington, DC, meeting with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, but it was the unscheduled meetings with the working folks I met along the way that really stuck with me. These people – restaurant staff, security guards, hotel workers – keep America running.

These weren’t photo ops or staged events. They were genuine moments with the people I will advocate for in Congress: the restaurant server working two jobs to support her family, the security guard proud to meet someone from his community running for Congress, and the hotel housekeeper who said, “Finally, someone who understands us.”
But to get to Congress, we need to build a campaign strong enough to take on powerful special interests. We’re the only flippable district in Texas, and I know we can do it, but only with your support. Will you chip in $10 or whatever you can to our campaign right now?
