I’m U.S. Congressman Ed Case, proudly representing Hawai‘i’s great First Congressional District (Honolulu from Makapu‘u to Mililani and Kapolei) in our U.S. House of Representatives.
I ask for your kōkua to continue my now-eleven years of service in Congress, where I will further focus my growing seniority, experience, Appropriations Committee responsibilities, relationships and hard work on change that strengthens our democracy, solves our challenges, helps our Hawai‘i and makes your life better.
The federal shutdown may be over, but we know everything’s far from ok. Uncertain and difficult times continue, for our Hawai‘i, country and world, and for way too many of us in our everyday lives.
It starts with our unacceptably high costs of living, from housing and healthcare to food, children, education, energy and more. It continues with a stagnant economy and jobs, strained international relations, eroding federal finances, endangered natural resources, a fraying social safety net and beyond, all while our foundations face attack and public confidence in government tanks.
None of these challenges has to be permanent; we don't have to just accept the way things are. We must and can change course to a better way forward. But that demands strong, smart and experienced leadership that defends our democracy and delivers real solutions, especially in Washington, D.C.
All of this is especially important for our Hawai‘i, where our federal government's presence, projects, programs and funding are so key to our economy and community, and where federal assistance is critical in crises like COVID, Red Hill and Maui. We are a very small fish in a very big pond in D.C., and must have experienced representation on Capitol Hill that knows how to get things done, whoever is in the White House or the majority in Congress.
During my decade-plus on Capitol Hill, I’ve worked hard to deliver strong, steady leadership and solid results for our country and Hawai'i.
If re-elected next year, I’ll move into the top 25% of House seniority, increase my responsibilities on our powerful Appropriations Committee responsible for overseeing and funding the federal government, and further expand my relationships and influence.
And I'll keep doing what I’ve always done: work hard, stay in touch, speak honestly, listen carefully, represent all of Hawai‘i, and fight for our country and for the change and real solutions that will make all of our lives better.
