It shouldn’t take 8 years to permit the energy that keeps our lights on. ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏

| Unleash American energy abundance today! | | Hello John, What a thrill it was to stand at the Belle Ayr coal mine in Gillette, Wyoming — one of the largest coal mines in the United States and a powerful reminder of what American energy can achieve when innovation is unleashed instead of restricted. | | | But here’s the problem: It takes eight years to get a permit for a new mine. Eight years of bureaucracy, where Washington red tape holds back affordable, reliable energy production. Here’s a little more about Belle Ayr: Belle Ayr sits on a 75- to 80-foot coal seam spanning roughly 60,000 acres and produces low-sulfur, subbituminous coal — among the cleanest burning in the world. - The scale is astounding — Wyoming supplies 40% of all U.S. coal, and every ton mined here goes toward generating electricity for families and businesses nationwide.
- They have 9–10 years of coal stockpiled on-site — an extraordinary testament to reliability.
- Beyond Belle Ayr itself, there’s an estimated 200 years of coal reserves left in the Powder River Basin.
However, Belle Ayr also has about 30 years of coal left. America has the manpower and the resources for energy abundance, but our government keeps standing in the way. If Congress modernizes our outdated permitting system, we can build the next generation of American energy before shortages drive up your bills. 👉 Tell Washington: Cut the red tape and unleash American energy. | | | | | | What’s next for the “Road to Prosperity” tour? Next week, I’ll be visiting the largest natural gas producer in Utah for our final stop — but we’re nowhere near done. We won’t stop until Washington gets out of the way and Americans have affordable, reliable energy. Stay tuned for updates on AFP’s energy efforts and how you can make your voice heard. | | | | |
