Today, we celebrate a victory years in the making. The Pennsylvania State Senate has finally passed the CROWN Act, a groundbreaking law to ban hair discrimination in our Commonwealth.
Speaker Joanna McClinton has been steadfast in championing this cause since she first introduced it in 2019, standing up for the right of every Pennsylvanian, especially Black women and girls, to wear their natural hair with pride and without fear of bias or discrimination.
