John, here's the latest on Amanda Edwards' race in Texas' 18th Congressional District:
FIRST: When Democratic Rep. Sylvester Turner (TX-18) passed away in March, Republican Gov. Greg Abbott chose to leave this U.S. House seat vacant instead of calling a special election.
THEN: Voters finally got a chance to fill the vacant seat in the Nov. 4 elections, and Amanda Edwards qualified to advance to a runoff election.
NOW: Gov. Abbott just set the special election runoff date for Jan. 31.
It's crucial we elect Amanda Edwards to represent this district, which has gone without a voice for far too long.
Greg Abbott has been playing political games to delay giving this solid-blue district a voice, but we're not folding, and right now, Amanda needs our help to secure the resources it takes to fight back and win on Jan. 31.
We can start 2026 off with a big win, John. So, please, will you split a donation between Amanda's campaign and EMILYs List to help Democratic pro-choice women take back the House?
