Conservation is ultimately a community endeavor. An endeavor made stronger by the ties we weave with each other and, as a team spread across three countries, we spend far too much time on Zoom calls that fail to provide the personal interactions and group experiences that remind us of our common values and inspire us to collaborate effectively.
This retreat, in its entirety, was made possible by a donation to Wildlands Network - a generous legacy gift that opened an opportunity we would otherwise not have been able to support in this year’s budget. We are immensely grateful for this. What a legacy to leave, indeed.
For me, the experience emphasized the strength and multiplicity of our team. And the power of community when navigating difficult times and changing landscapes.
It’s clear to me that Wildlands Network is better positioned than ever before in its history to make lasting changes for wildlife and elevate the need and opportunity for creating Wildways across North America. As described in our recent Impact Report, our projects are making a difference right now while also building out a long-term plan for sustainable impact. And our team has never been stronger.
My ask today is simple. Will you join us and provide this team with the resources it needs to reconnect, restore and rewild North America in 2026 and beyond?
