Dear friends,
Congress has overwhelmingly passed the bill to release the Epstein files.
For far too long, survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell have spoken out, only to be met by institutional silence and inaction.
The 427-1 House vote in favor of the release came days after only a bare majority of the chamber (218 of 435 members) signed a discharge petition, forcing a floor vote. The Senate agreed to advance the bill by unanimous consent.
We thank those who supported the measure, particularly those who worked to ensure a vote in the face of enormous obstacles; the advocates who led this effort; and most of all, the courageous survivors – children at the time – who refused to remain silent in the face of powerful perpetrators.
This vote marks a significant step toward ensuring the long-overdue truth, accountability, and justice that survivors deserve.
The bill now moves to President Trump’s desk. The bill garnered a veto-proof majority.
In solidarity,
The PACT team
