Dear John, Every year, we talk about the Oregon political tax credit and how pro-life Oregonians like you can use it to redirect your tax dollars toward protecting the unborn (learn more and take action). Using the tax credit to fuel pro-life action is always important. Now, it may be more important than ever. Tragically, late-term abortions are on the rise in Oregon, with over 280 babies last year violently killed at or after 23 weeks when they can survive outside of the womb and undoubtedly feel pain. And worse? Your tax dollars – money you’re required by law to give to the state government – are paying for them. For years, the data we had suggested that over 50% of abortions in Oregon were paid for using tax dollars. But the latest official funding numbers show that more than 80% of Oregon abortions are now taxpayer-funded. That’s why it’s so critical – now more than ever – for pro-life advocates across the state to redirect some of those dollars toward supporting pro-life efforts to reach voters, elect strong candidates, and advance life-affirming legislation. So please don’t let this opportunity go by. Click the button above or this link to give your contribution today. If you have any questions, please reach out to our office at (503) 463-8563, or simply respond to this email. Our team will be happy to help. Because everyone deserves an advocate, Lois Anderson P.S. While Planned Parenthood is back-filled by our government, we rely on advocates like you to fund our programs. Your partnership allows us to develop our annual pro-life voter guide and help pro-life candidates cross the finish line in competitive races. Please consider your most generous contribution this year to support our political action and get up to $100 back when you file your taxes. Thank you for your support and for entrusting us with this responsibility. *Single filers with a household income of $75,000 or less can claim up to $50 when filing your Oregon taxes. Joint filers with a household income of less than $150,000 can claim up to $100. Individuals with federal adjusted gross incomes over $75,000 or joint filers with combined adjusted gross incomes exceeding $150,000 no longer qualify for the Political Tax Credit. However, every contribution is still extremely valuable to our mission. |
