You need to see this message from Congressman Ruiz.
First: Republicans enabled Donald Trump’s corrupt scheme of squeezing $230 million from the Department of Justice as “compensation” for being investigated.
Now: Republicans have sneaked a provision into the bill reopening the government that would funnel millions of hard-earned American tax dollars straight to the bank accounts of 8 Senators who were investigated for involvement in the January 6th insurrection.
They hoped we wouldn’t notice, but we’re fighting back. Stand up to corruption and demand Republicans remove these corrupt kickbacks NOW >>

It’s Raul.
Last week, Senate Republicans sneaked a disturbing provision into the bill that reopened our government. (I already opposed that bill because it made no changes to the Trump/Republican destruction of Medicaid and Obamacare, but this provision made it even worse!)
Here’s what it does: 8 Republican Senators are now able to claim at least half a million dollars each in taxpayer money for having been investigated as part of the January 6th insurrection.
This is a Republican tax-funded cash grab that rewards corruption — and it’s happening in real time.
I’m gathering 5,000 signatures to demand Republicans remove these corrupt kickbacks NOW. >>
When Donald Trump demanded $230 million from the Department of Justice as personal retribution for the investigation into his own crimes, Republicans didn’t say a word.
And even as Americans were suffering from the impacts of the government shutdown, Republicans refused to negotiate for affordable healthcare.
Now, as hard-working Americans who struggled through weeks of uncertainty are about to lose their healthcare over skyrocketing premiums, Republicans plan to funnel millions of dollars into the bank accounts of 8 Senators who were investigated for treason.
There is no justification for this — this is the behavior of tyrants, not leaders in the White House.
I’m not backing down from this fight, and I need to know you’re with me. Will you sign on to join me in demanding Republicans remove these corrupt kickbacks?
In the fight with you,
Raul Ruiz
