Team,
If you missed it, The New York Times recently published an op-ed titled, “Did women ruin the workplace?” which they later re-titled to “Did Liberal Feminism Ruin the Workplace.” I’ve been reflecting on this a lot in regards to this year’s November elections, and I have some thoughts.
On Election Day, voters in Virginia turned out to elect our first-EVER woman governor and the first-ever Muslim woman as lieutenant governor. We also elected 37 women in the House of Delegates – more than all of the Republicans in the House – and secured a woman majority in the Democratic Caucus in the Senate.
Voters turned out to elect a woman-led majority from the Governor’s Mansion to the House of Delegates, and this will have a major impact on the policy outcomes – ensuring that they better reflect the people who actually live here.
Our state’s future will be carved out by women who will be leading us and fighting for us, and
I’m so excited to see how exactly they ruin the workplace here in Virginia.
