The GOP's reckless shutdown may have finally ended, but let’s be very clear, Johh:

While the House ground to a halt, attacks on reproductive freedom across the country did not. Extremists took the chaos in Washington as an opportunity to push even further.

One of the best weapons we have against these attacks is knowledge and the act of staying informed. As co-chair of the House Reproductive Freedom Caucus, Diana asked us to reach out and let you know what's been happening in the fight for abortion protections:

* Louisiana made mifepristone and misoprostol Schedule IV controlled substances, making them harder to access and more heavily regulated.

* A federal case challenging the safety of the abortion pill that failed in Texas is now being taken up by anti-abortion attorney generals in Missouri, Kansas, and Idaho.

* A Missouri judge approved ballot language for a proposed 2026 amendment reinstating the state's abortion ban, even though Missourians voted to protect abortion in 2024.

* GOP Senators pleaded with RFK Jr. to crack down on medication abortion after the FDA approved a new generic version of mifepristone.

* Republicans are aiming to add abortion restrictions to expiring ACA subsidies — that’s a non-starter!

People's lives, health, and futures are on the line. If you're still in the fight for reproductive freedom with Diana, add your name to this petition today >> [link removed]
