I think I speak for us all when I say 2025 has been… a year.

If you’re feeling scared or anxious about the state of the world and our society, you are not alone. There’s this sense that nothing can stem the tide But that’s not true.

Young people across the country are joining Sunrise en masse to learn how to safely and effectively organize against authoritarianism. We’ve been working with students since September to resist the Trump admin’s attacks on our curriculums and peers, and successfully fought attempts to control our educational institutions. 

Just last week, we led students and faculty at over 100 US universities on a nationwide walk out to protest against Trump’s attacks on schools.

When we stand up to authoritarians, we’re standing in a long, historical chain of young people who have done so countless times.

We’re already planning the next wave of actions, growing campus chapters every month and building towards strikes in collaboration with labor on May Day.

From meetings to banners, organizing takes time, training, and resources.

That’s why we’ve set an ambitious goal of raising 250k by the end of 2025.
