The 2025 elections showed us a valuable truth, John: Civic participation is increasing in all the right ways.
Voter registration activity increased across the country. According to the team at National Voter Registration Day, New York recorded more registrations for their 2025 events than in 2024, and California saw similar increases. Earlier this fall it looked like voter participation was going to make a real jump, even in a so-called "off-year".
Then Election Day came. New Jersey had more voters turn out for a gubernatorial election than they had in 20 years. Crucial counties in Pennsylvania saw their highest turnout levels in almost 15 years. New York City reached a turnout percentage unseen in over five decades.
We can inspire even higher levels of participation when voters understand the stakes and feel like their vote matters, just like it did a few weeks ago. That's why our voter registration efforts are so important.
Just $3 can help us register a new voter. Will you step up with $24 or more today to help register 8 new voters? >> [[link removed]]

The key is getting young people -- a major target of opponents of voting rights across the country -- to see the importance of voting now more than ever. Pundits in Virginia said they could have called the election results when they saw the first turnout numbers from the major college campus locations around the state. That's the kind of impact these young voters can have.
Voting quickly becomes a habit -- a habit our democracy sorely needs to fulfill the promise of the American dream. Overwhelming key states with new voter registrations can help turn the tide against the voter suppression laws we've seen passed the last few years.
The 2026 midterm election will determine whether our democracy stays mired in the darkness and conspiracy theories we hear every day or if we can reclaim our rights -- from voting to choice and more -- and march forward to a better future.
New voter registration -- at a cost to us of just about $3 per new voter -- can be game-changing. Can you pitch in with $24 or however much you can to help us register a tidal wave of new voters ahead of next year's voter registration deadlines? >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
