John,

Behind the policy debates about assisted suicide are vulnerable people who are put at risk of deadly harm and discrimination with assisted suicide laws on the books. Our mission is to abolish these terrible laws for good.

I want to briefly share with you the story of Jane Allen, a young Coloradan woman who struggled for years with anorexia and experienced the ultimate failure of medicine when her doctor abandoned her and prescribed her lethal drugs to end her life. For Jane, this wasn’t the end of the story; her father was able to intervene and destroy the drugs that would have killed her. She went on to get the actual help, and hope, she needed to turn things around. How many patients, without loved ones there to advocate for them, had a different ending?

You can read Jane's story here.

Because of people like Jane, we and our allies are suing states that have legalized these public policies to overturn assisted suicide through strategic litigation. Our goal: total victory at the Supreme Court!

Right now, you have a unique opportunity to join this historic moment and double your impact:

Until the end of the year, two generous donors have committed to matching all new and increased giving – dollar for dollar – up to $1,000,000. When you give before *December 31*, your support goes twice as far to protect human dignity, expand access to real care, and ensure that assisted suicide ends in the United States.

This is an incredible opportunity to multiply your impact and stand up for families like Jane's. But it only lasts until the end of the year.

When you give now:

Your $100 becomes $200 to support advocacy and outreach.

Your $500 becomes $1,000 to protect vulnerable people nationwide.

Your $50,000 becomes $100,000 to overturn assisted suicide laws in legal states through strategic litigation.

Won’t you join us? Please be as generous as you can! Our time is now. If you’d like to give via your DAF, IRA, or would like to give a gift of stock through a transfer of marketable securities, please be in touch for more details.

Thank you VERY much for your time and consideration!

Respectfully,

Matt Vallière
