Nobody wins when Washington grinds to a halt—and Democrats are gonna own this
one. But here’s the elephant in the room: This shutdown opened our eyes to just
how many Americans rely on government programs. To be specific, nearly42 million
<[link removed]>
people receive food stamps.
There are folks who truly need that help, and we should have their backs. But
Democrats don’t want to help people when times get tough—they want to keep
people dependent, stuck, and easy to control.
That’s not opportunity. And it’s not the America conservatives like us believe
in.
Republicans want to get this country running on good jobs, affordable living,
and freedom—not a system that boxes you in.
All’s to say, the shutdown may be over, but the fight for a government that
actually works for the people is far from finished.
