Friend –
We need your help right now.
The Trump administration is decimating the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) — making it nearly impossible to adequately oversee gun dealers that break the law and fuel America’s gun violence crisis.
In fact, recent reports show:
* 80% of special agents at the ATF have been pulled from investigations into gun trafficking and other crimes and reassigned to Trump’s immigration enforcement.
* The ATF lost one in every seven investigators who are responsible for inspecting licensed gun dealers to job reductions and retirements
* The Bureau stands to lose at least 60% of its investigators under Trump’s proposed budget.
These changes severely undermine efforts to address gun crime and leave just a handful of inspectors to oversee the nation's 75,000 gun dealers. This would lead to decades-long gaps in basic compliance inspections, causing communities to be flooded with trafficked and illegal weapons, and we will pay the price with our lives.
The American people deserve to know how the Trump administration plans to keep our communities safe from rogue, lawless gun dealers who constantly put profits over human lives. We're demanding answers from Attorney General Pam Bondi following these devastating cuts to the ATF. Are you with us? Sign our letter demanding that Attorney General Bondi answer to the American people — not the gun industry! [[link removed]]

Friend, the ATF is already drowning in its mission to ensure all firearm dealers are following the law. As of today, gun dealers are inspected once every decade on average — even though the ATF’s goal is once every three years. With these new cuts, it would now take at least 30 years for most gun dealers to be inspected!
Trump wants us to think he’s ‘tough on crime,’ but that’s far from the case. His administration has been working quietly to restore gun rights to violent criminal offenders, like domestic abusers, undermining law enforcement by legalizing machine gun conversion devices, and is now letting irresponsible gun dealers off the hook when they break the law.
Enough is enough. These actions do not protect the American people. They fuel the illegal gun market and make our communities less safe.
