Hi, it’s Sherrod. I wanted to reach out personally and share some incredible news: A brand-new poll shows me leading my opponent Jon Husted – 49% to 48%.

First, I want to say thank you . I got back in the fight to take on a rigged system that benefits the wealthy and well-connected, while working people pay the price. And this early momentum is a strong sign that our people-powered campaign is resonating with Ohioans.

But here's the problem: The wealthy donors, the corporate special interests – they’re all panicking after seeing this poll. Last cycle, they spent more than $250 million against me, and they're gearing up to spend millions more to crush our momentum.

We can't let that happen. They know as well as we do that we have what it takes to flip this seat, but it could all come down to resources.

That’s why we set a goal to raise $50,000 before midnight to keep up our momentum, and I'm personally asking you to help us reach it.
