“Consumer protection is something we all have to keep learning about,” Nessel said. “Scams are constantly evolving, and this campaign delivers important information in an engaging, familiar way to help Michiganders stay a step ahead of fraudsters.”
Running now until November 28, the Abbott Elementary campaign will feature posts, videos, and consumer alerts designed to educate residents about evolving scam tactics and highlight the Department’s resources for staying informed. The campaign will cover topics such as consumer laws, AI scams, skimming and shimming, fake college websites, ransomware, and offer tips for safer online shopping.
