End-of-Year Gala!

Join us for a night among the stars for Halfway to the Stars: SFTR’s 15th Anniversary Gala. We'll have guest speakers, raffles, food, drinks, and a fun night celebrating 15 years of San Francisco Transit Riders.

This event, and our subsequent giving campaign, will be raising funds for our work in 2026 to continue our work to secure equitable, permanent funding for Bay Area transit agencies, so that no San Franciscan is left behind due to budget and service cuts. By investing in public transit, we invest in our communities, the economy, and a clean environment.

COMMUNITY tells Muni’s greatest stories at a time where celebrating the public transit system has never been more vital. We are creating a tangible representation of the perspectives, views, and stories we only get when we ride Muni. Through humanized and artistic storytelling, we will explore how Muni operates as the blood line of our city, how we can use it to better connect our communities, and how we can make the most out of each and every line.

2025 marks San Francisco Transit Riders’ 15th anniversary. We are so grateful for all of the SFTR members, advocates, transit leaders, and community partners who have supported our work throughout the years. We will continue to grow and to push for transit rider needs and investments.

This may be your chance to tour the Salesforce Transit Center Trainbox

Each attendee will be entered into a free raffle to tour the Salesforce Transit Center Trainbox at a later date. The Portal, also known as the Downtown Rail Extension project, will extend Caltrain service from Fourth and King Streets and deliver the California High-Speed Rail Authority's future high-speed rail service to the multimodal Salesforce Transit Center, in the heart of downtown San Francisco.
