Team—

Tomorrow, November 18th, South Carolina lawmakers will hold a closed hearing on one of the most dangerous anti-abortion bills we have ever seen.

I don't say this lightly. This legislation—Senate Bill 323—is a blueprint and the next step for extreme and hostile states. This bill not only criminalizes abortion, but it also criminalizes the pregnant person and suppresses information sharing about care that is legal in other states. It is beyond extreme. It is an existential threat to reproductive freedom in the United States.

Now, we need your help to fight against this atrocious bill. Make a gift of $50.00 and it will have 2X the impact before tomorrow's hearing. [[link removed]] If SB323 passes, it would:

* Lay the groundwork to prevent South Carolinians from using IVF
* Remove nearly all exceptions—including for rape, incest, or fatal fetal anomaly
* Force students to watch anti-abortion propaganda in public schools
* Make abortion a felony homicide, with penalties of up to 30 years in prison for people who receive care

... and more. This bill is so extreme that lawmakers are fast-tracking it behind closed doors — because they know the public rejects it.

We refuse to let it go unchallenged. [[link removed]] With allies like you, the Center can sound the alarm, mobilize action, and defend our fundamental rights.

Before tomorrow's hearing, make your most generous early Giving Tuesday gift and it will be matched 2X. [[link removed]]
