As preppers, we like to think that we will survive a catastrophe using our stored gear and supplies, and our resilient mindsets.
 
But what if something happens so fast that it's so bad you have to leave everything behind, except maybe - MAYBE - your bugout bag?
 
How would you do then?

I'm reminded of the people in Western North Carolina just over a year ago during Hurricane Helene, many of whom barely escaped with their lives when the landslides began taking out entire towns. Many of those people lived in tents for months while trying to navigate the FEMA system and figure out how to return to a more normal life.
 
What are your thoughts? What would you do if you had no option but to leave? Would you be ready to survive without your preps?
