Iowans abide by a strict hunting season schedule, but running for governor means being on the hunt for any and every opportunity to talk to Iowans.

And that’s just the way I like it, because if Iowans know one thing about me, it’s that I’ll talk to anyone — especially those who might disagree with me.

You don’t have to look far to find the similarities and communal ties that hold us all together, even though the partisan insiders would rather sow division and mistrust.

I believe Iowa deserves better, which is why I decided to run in the first place.
