John,
One of the biggest stories from the November elections is happening right here in Texas’ 9th Senate District. Democrat Taylor Rehmet didn’t just compete in a Republican district—he came in first and is heading to a runoff.
Taylor finished with 48% of the vote—within inches of winning outright. To put that in perspective, Trump won this district by more than 17 points last year. That kind of jump doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens because Texans showed up. It happens because organizations like ours have been doing the work in red counties that most people write off. And now? That work is paying off.
We proved two things this election:
We showed up, knocked doors, had real conversations, and helped turn out the voters who pushed Taylor into first place. And he can absolutely win this runoff election—but only if we double down right now.
Thank you,
